I must tell you, this healthy loaf can’t get any easier. I just wanted to make something healthy for my little one & I mixed a few ingredients to come up with this loaf. It turned out to be super moist & just yummy.
Here is the list of ingredients you need.
Wholemeal Flour – 50 grams
Almond Powder – 50 grams
Butter – 50 grams
Soft Brown Sugar- 75 grams
Salt – Just about a pinch
Baking Soda – 1/4th tsp
Sunflower seeds – 1/4th cup
Dates (Deseeded & chopped) – 10 – 12
Egg – 1
Milk – – 1/2 Cup
Note : Pre heat the oven @ 180 degree C for 10 minutes. I have used a 1 lb cake loaf tin. Grease the cake tin with butter & keep aside.
In a bowl, add, wholemeal flour, almond powder, salt, baking soda, sunflower seeds & chopped dates.
Melt the butter in micro. Stir in the soft brown sugar & mix well.
Add the butter sugar mix to the dry ingredients & give it a quick mix.
Add a lightly beaten egg to mix.
Add in the milk & fold the cake mixture carefully making sure no lumps are formed.
Tip in the cake mix in the loaf tin.
Let the cake tin sit in the oven for 25 – 30 min (or till the skewer comes out clean). Let it cool for 10 min before you have the loaf out of the tin.
