I wanted something that could deep condition my dry & frizzy hair leaving them naturally smooth & I must say Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter is worth it. Here is a little information & my experience with this product.

Product Claims – Luxuriously rich and intensive deep-conditioning treatment for soft, glossy and tangle-free hair. No silicones, no parabens and no colourants. Silicones are used in most hair products to give your hair a healthier & frizz free look but in reality they built up in your hair because they aren’t water soluble. So your hair could be loaded with some alien “chemical” you don’t know much about!!! Parabens are used as preservatives to give you an extended shelf life for the product you buy but recent researches on Paraben, claim them to be carcinogenic (an agent that could cause cancer). So another reason to go for Paraben free product (at their cost). Colourant is nothing but combination of chemicals that can cause color change. I doubt if colourants are often used for hair care products, but I am glad this product is again free for some unwanted chemical.

Packaging & Content – It comes in a wide rounded tub filled with 200ml / 6.7 OZ product. The container has no safety lid to protect the product from any contamination. You may have to be careful while using it. You can have a scoop for scooping out the product if you do not wish to use your hands. I do not use a scoop as such but always use clean (not necessarily dry) hands to scoop out the product & I always dig in from the sides. Does that matter?? Well I really don’t know but it’s my way of keeping it protected 🙂

Inside the tub – The product is white in color, Buttery in texture (just like a body butter) & smells not so good (Like some kind of chemical). But don’t let the smell put you off because its leaves you with such a pleasant & fresh fragrance in your hair.

Star Ingridients – Pracaxi Oil, Manketti nut Oil & Community Fair Trade honey. Pracaxi is a natural seed oil which is used for hair & skin care products for its highest levels of Behenic Acid which enables deep conditioning leaving your hair smooth and glossy. Mankettti nut oil when used in hair products is said to nourish hair while giving your locks UV protection. Honey as we all know is one SuperFood!!! This superfood will moisturize, protect & nourish your hair.

Usage instructions – After shampooing, smooth 1-2 hazelnut-sized amounts onto palms and work through damp hair. Leave for at least five minutes. Massage with some warm water, then rinse thoroughly. However, I had to use much more product than recommended (for my super dry hair) to get best results. I suggest you first try out the mentioned quantity and if you are not happy with the end result try adjusting the quantity as you may need.

My experience with the product – As I mentioned before I had to take more than the suggested quantity for my super dry hair. Product is really great to work in your hair. It easily slides in making it easier for you to cover your hair. End results? Tangle free super soft hair!!! It’s no magic product to make you feel like you are just out of a hair lounge… but it does transform your hair from the very first use. My hair felt naturally soft & had that shine too. I could feel the change on touching them. Even though it’s said to be hair butter, do not worry of it being greasy, it is meant for dry hair & it’s just perfect to take care of them. The product container may not smell that great but on using this product on your hair, it leaves you with a mild, refreshing fragrance. It is mild & people around may not notice it but be sure your hair will smell wonderful making you feel fresh. I have used this product & waited for 3 days for the next wash to test how far it stays. My hair still felt soft and were smelling great 🙂

So you want to treat your dry and damaged hair at home? This product is definitely worth a try.
